To Build or Burn

List the number of things you are great at doing.

Now list the number of things you are good at doing.

Thirdly, list the number of things you are at least average or slightly above average at doing.

Add up the list. Leave that number on the one side of the page.

Now, add the number of things you are not great, good or slightly above average at doing. And finally, memorize this feeling. Take for example my friend Raj. He is fluent in 24 languages which… Continue

How to Be Very Very Happy

Normally, I surround my workspace with a number of inspirational quotes, ranging from ancient philosophical musings to Taoist inspirations to spiritual uplifting ones. This year, I decided to do something completely different. I removed all of them and placed just one simple statement, taped to the base of my computer screen. It reads: “Do what you say you are going to do.” Not quite Robert Frost or Lao Tsu now is it. The prior quotes were “head nodders;” that is, I would read them, ponder them… Continue

Attracting Prosperity

Attracting Prosperity

Today I embrace the day with complete wonder and trust that all I need will come to me and MORE. I magnetically attract finances to cover all my immediate needs and begin to build my financial empire.

I am strong and confident. I am valuable and deserving of abundance and attract

a receptive flow of money.

Today I attract clients who can easily afford my services and products at a fee

that sustains and…

Any Old Shoe Will Do

You may have heard a version of ‘The clothes don't make the person – the person makes the clothes’.

My interpretation of this statement is that sometimes we go out of our way to look good or to appear a certain way to cover up what we are not. If we live a façade - it's a hard role to play. We cannot maintain a level

we are not on and eventually something has got to give. Hopefully what gives

way is…

Baby Steps are Still Steps!

We all have days when we feel stuck, lack enthusiasm to move forward and sometimes even feel like we are moving backward. I repeat, we ALL have them.

What we do with this time is what counts. Hiding under the covers works for a

moment. If that’s what you need, then give yourself a time frame to allow for

this. Then make a commitment to yourself to move through the current funk or

stuckness.

Understandably, some tough times are so tough…

But What About Me?

We wake up, do our morning routine, dash off to work, go to lunch with friends, prepare for a meeting, come home, have dinner, go to class or watch TV…… But what about me?

We are there for friends in need, volunteer, go to parties, visit family, do the chores…. But what about me?

Why is it that we seem to think we can keep up our regime without ever…

Calling a 'Do Over'

Remember as kids making a mistake while playing a game and calling a “DO OVER”?

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could call that at any time in our lives? Well, why

can’t we?

I remember years ago starting a new career and falling short of my own

expectations. Feeling pretty frustrated about creating a undesired reputation,

my manager gave me the greatest advice. He said Fran, tomorrow is a new day and

you can start over as a new you. It’s…

Listening for Weight Loss

I love learning languages and have taken on the tasks of learning Japanese and Russian simultaneously. Yes, it sounds odd and goes against conventional wisdom but after speaking with a number of polyglots (individuals who speak multiple languages; poly means “many” and glot means “tongue.”).

My schedule is full to say the least. In addition to running our Dezine Management (Hgh Plus business [www.hghplus.net]), I continually update our sites and 3… Continue

A New Day

Notes to Myself

I woke up quite early this morning. I took my dogs out for a walk and felt a gentle breeze in the air. The same breeze I felt last night while I walked them by moonlight. The wind whispers to me of new beginnings. Oh yes! I am so ready for new things to come! The past year has been filled with so much loss. Loss of life. Loss of hope and trust. Loss of friendship. Loss of inspiration, motivation, and at many times loss of my sanity! Within all the loss there have been… Continue

Watermelon - Skin Cancer Prevention Connection

Grab some watermelon this season while you still can.

Aside from being one of the tastiest fruits, you will also be doing your skin a GREAT service. The more watermelon, the less chances of skin cancer.

The Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention recommends, based on their extensive research, that you protect yourself from the rays of the sun by eating a slice or 2 of watermelon. It is rich in lycopene which shields your skin the UV rays that are the cancer causing… Continue

Migraines: Causes and Treatments

Some 4.2 million Americans suffer from this painful occurrence and the numbers have increased 20% per decade for the past 30 years.

According to standard care, the most notorious cause is physical or emotional stress. Other triggers include weather changes, annoying visual effects and certain foods, most notably chocolate, cheese, alcohol and coffee. (Red wine is the most common alcohol trigger.)

In Natural Medicine, the most common cause is con- gestion of the gall… Continue
